For reasons I do not know, there were no big Stones fans in my immediate group of friends who played their albums. By the way, albums were the primary format we had for music. Playing single songs would require </span><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_%28music%29#7-inch_format"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-weight:400;">45 records</span></a><span style="font-size:12pt;font-weight:400;">, and a record player that could stack maybe 10 records - that was not viable.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;text-indent:0.25in;"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-weight:400;">This concert was like nothing I had attended before, not that I had gone to many up to this point in my life. All I can tell you is, there is nothing as big and exciting as a Rolling Stones concert.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;text-indent:0.25in;"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-weight:400;">After this show, I became a big fan. Now I wanted their records. By 1975, The Rolling Stones had already been around for quite a while with many albums, so where do I start? I read reviews from various sources to find out what is viewed as essential albums to have. One that was repeatedly listed was &quot;Beggar's Banquet,&quot; so I purchased it.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;text-indent:0.25in;"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-weight:400;">It was not what I expected. Their hit singles on the radio, then the album &quot;Sticky Fingers,&quot; were electric rock oriented. Beggar's Banquet had more blues and acoustic instruments. I liked it, kept playing it, and it grew to be my favorite.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;text-indent:0.25in;"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-weight:400;">Some articles over the years about this album; <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beggars_Banquet" title="Wikipedia" target="_blank" rel="">Wikipedia</a>, <a href="https://slate.com/culture/2018/12/rolling-stones-beggars-banquet-50th-anniversary-1968-album.html" title="Slate Magazine" target="_blank" rel="">Slate Magazine</a>, <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/inside-the-rolling-stones-beggars-banquet-45797/" title="Rolling Stone" target="_blank" rel="">Rolling Stone</a>.<br></span></p><p style="text-align:left;text-indent:0.25in;"></p><p style="text-align:left;text-indent:0.25in;"></p><p style="text-align:left;text-indent:0.25in;"></p><p style="text-align:left;text-indent:0.25in;"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-weight:400;">So, crank it up!</span></p><p style="text-align:left;text-indent:0.25in;"><a href="https://recordstoreday.com/Home"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-weight:400;">Support your local record store</span></a><span style="font-size:12pt;font-weight:400;">.</span></p></div><p></p></div>
