Poor word usage is helping to fuel the polarization of discussion.
In particular, I have noticed during the last 8 years, mistaken comments I have made. and others, were described as being "lies." Such as, "the concert starts at 8PM," when subsequently it if discovered it begins at 9PM. I "lied."
I do not understand why "lie" has become synonymous to "mistaken."
Communication will not occur if we do not use the proper, descriptive words.
