Very good lecture. I highly recommend it.
I thought there would be discussion of the peoples in Eastern Europe's past, but there was not - if I'd only read the course outline: https://www.thegreatcourses.com/cours... .
Boy, I'm glad I did not. If I had I would have followed my bias and not listened to the lectures.
The lecture takes use through the harsh history and into the current (future?) status of that area called Eastern Europe.
I learned more about the region's sufferings, the people's trauma, and the events that influenced what I see today.
Eastern Europe is now on the "hot areas to visit" in tourism. I recommend this lecture to anyone looking to travel there.
