Categorizing music that I like into specific genres does not work. How do I convey the enjoyment I get out of listening to Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring" and The Rolling Stones "Midnight Rambler?" The enjoyment is equal, yet different.

I do not know why certain music stirs my soul. All I know is that it does.


Charles Mingus piqued my interest back in the 1970's, and I have no idea why. But, I purchased the 3 disc album The Great Concert of Charles Mingus.
